A few years ago, I was a freshly minted graduate with a passionate desire to create something impactful. However, I was at a loss as to how to actualize this aspiration. Fast forward to the present day, and I find myself immersed in the dynamic field of marketing, traversing South Africa in pursuit of my professional endeavors. The wealth of experiences and encounters that I have had the privilege of engaging in have been nothing short of extraordinary, leaving me awe-struck! Unfortunately, I have noticed that in modern times, trivial metrics such as social media follower counts have become the primary factor in determining who has the right ‘influence’ to share their stories with a wider audience.
