Life With Zee
A few years ago, I was a freshly minted graduate with a passionate desire to create something impactful. However, I was at a loss as to how to actualize this aspiration. Fast forward to the present day, and I find myself immersed in the dynamic field of marketing, traversing South Africa in pursuit of my professional endeavors. The wealth of experiences and encounters that I have had the privilege of engaging in have been nothing short of extraordinary, leaving me awe-struck! Unfortunately, I have noticed that in modern times, trivial metrics such as social media follower counts have become the primary factor in determining who has the right ‘influence’ to share their stories with a wider audience. If you ask me, I’d say it’s BS and doing a great disservice to our community. So, I embarked on this adventure to create a podcast that would serve as a platform to showcase the fascinating stories and insights from a diverse range of personalities, such as business founders, influencers, content creators, corporate executives, PhD candidates, and more.Consider this podcast as an invitation to a quick coffee chat with me, where you get to tap into a wealth of inspiring stories, reflective narratives, and invaluable tips. Now, sit back, relax and enjoy a snack as we embark on this journey! —————Like the show? Feel free to buy a cup of tea to support https://www.buymeacoffee.com/Lifewithzee

EP 19 Tamryn Prinsloo: Autism, Self-Diagnosing & Choosing A Mental Health Professional
This week, I sit down with Special Wellness Counsellor, Tamryn Prinsloo from Counseling Goose to chat about all things mental health and to run through your most burning questions.
From almost heading to Japan as the pandemic struck, to travelling to Rwanda to work with kids on the autism spectrum, Tamryn has been around the proverbial block and has furthered her education and training to focus on neurodivergent individuals.
In this episode we talk about
- How ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) manifests and when to get tested.
- The difference between psychologists, psychiatrists, clinical psyhcologists and counsellors.
- Why self-diagnosing yourself with ADHD or another mental disorder is dangerous and
- How personality marketing plays a role in our every-day society.
From the start of this journey, Tamryn and I have spoken for hours on end about all things mental health, neurodivergence and life. We had so much fun recording this episode and hope you find some interesting facts and information from this!
